The KRC solution was chosen by us to activate a consistent and distributed and delegated process in the management of near-events and non-conformities for HSE and Quality issues. The use of krc has allowed us to create a collaborative and structured environment in compliance management, as required by the certification systems. The Audit activity is also managed by KRC which allows an optimization of the process phases and the timely management of the findings, in a logic integrated with the event management process.

The Need

Provide the group with an integrated solution for the complete management of Events and Non-Conformities and the planning and execution of Audits, taking into account the necessary flexibility required by the geographical location of the individual Legal Entities, as part of a single and coherent solution, of the which the Corporate management maintains complete control.


The Solution

The solution was developed starting from the standard flows Near-Event Investigation, NC Management and Audit, available in KRC® as part of the integrated flows, created to engineer ISO 31000:2018.

The first implements the entire cycle of integrated management of events and near misses in different areas (Quality, HSE, etc.): from reporting and validation, uploading of documentation, management of immediate treatment, classification of NCs, analysis root causes, AC planning and management, up to closing and final balance.

The second allows the management of the audit process: from the definition of the annual audit program in the various areas, to the generation of individual plans for the definition of the agenda of the activities and the points of the standard that will be investigated, to the detection of objective evidence, to arrive at the preparation of the report of the results and the list of NC/OSS and related CAs, whose management flows into the previous flow.

In addition to customizations based on specific requirements, the architecture of the solution was created using the same SW application for different KRC® instances, one for each geographical area (Italy, Europe, North America etc.), including the master instance it is used to distribute common data structures to the slave instances and receive the data resulting from registration and processing from them, in order to produce overall reports and graphs. Within each instance, the visibility of users is determined, in addition to the profile, by the site they belong to and can be extended to the level of Legal Entity or entire instance, for those with greater responsibility.
